Ever get the feeling you're oversharing ? Yep, always
I’m Ben, a 32 year old adhd guy who’s struggled for years to find his place in the world, believing for a long time that I would never find stability in terms of exercise and healthy eating, or be able to establish a future for myself, no matter how hard I tried – yet I cracked on anyway, despite ever-mounting personal pressures.
You see, cracking on works well, until it doesn’t – eventually, all of it piles up and in my case, I found myself losing a job, chronically burnt out, and living in a van that broke down at every opportunity.
Everyone on instagram probably saw the beatiful places I travelled to, but no-one saw that I was barely coping with the crippling anxiety, depression and inability to see a future for myself – with no wants, or needs, ambition or drive to even exist.
In that time, I did a lot of soul searching, and I’ve discovered a love for psychology – the result, is that I’ve figured out how to break some of the patterns that had plagued me for years, such as: the inability to maintain consistent exercise, the ability to moderate food and think of future me.
The answers though, they’re really simple….. and it’s NOT motivation and disclipline, the typical bullocks you’re sold.
I’m not a life coach, I’m just a guy who’s trying to make the world a slightly better place, and to help others avoid the same trap that I fell into.
It took me many years to claw my way back from the pretty dark place i’ve been to, but I hope I can use those experiences to help you, potentially, avoid the same traps.
